Hennessy Vs. Eno (The best camping hammocks)

When I hear the words “ best camping hammocks,  my mind instantly jumps to two brands: Hennessy and Eno. Now there’s plenty of other brands of hammocks made for the outdoors like Grand Trunk or Texsport, but these are the two main brands. 

Lets just give you some good FAQs:

You can buy all the gear separately like the rainfly and bug net, or you can get them in package deal. Hammocks prices range between $50-$70 ( without rainfly or bug net).

You have to buy a package deal.You can buy additional accessories if you like. Prices range between $130-$180 

DURABILITY

You would have to really try to break one of these hammocks. They are made from parachute material and can hold 400 lb..

Made of high performance materials.  It can hold roughly 250 lb.. but I’ve heard many say it will actually hold more weight than that.

They have good stuff like the slap straps which are a god sent for both hammocks.

There must be a genius that works in Hennesy. All hammocks include a built in bug net. You can get into the hammock from underneath which is the first of it’s kind. They also have a built in ridge line with a pouch. Furthermore they make a ton of add ons so you can trick out your hammock.

Nothing is perfect but these 2 are very close. Now lets got to the set backs  

ENO-The hammock is separate from the bug net and rainfly which makes it great for just hanging around. You don't have to open the net or duck under the fly. The slap straps are the best hammock suspension I have at the moment but they do sagg. So there is a problem if you are really close to the ground. Otherwise their rainfly’s are very nice. There is no major problems with them. The buggnet also saggs down a couple feet below the hammock. Now if you are high and it docent touch the ground then you can throw stuff in the bottom. So its kinda like your in a bubble. She hammock itself there are 2 types the single nest and double nest. Single is for one person and double is big enough for 2. I know some people who got double nest for more room to move around in. If your looking for a hammock to go back packing in then this may not be it because that parachute material is not very light, plus the bug-net was not made to be light, but still in my opinion better then lugging around a tent.

Hennessy- The bug-net on this hammock is attached to the hammock witch means you are going to have to open and close it when you want to enter or leave. The rainfly that comes with the the Expedition is pretty small so I would upgrade. Hennessy has a selection of rainfly s mine is the oversized hex rainfly that could cover 2 hammocks (ive done it) They even make rainfly s with blast shields which gives you 360 degree protection from the wind rain or any other weather. The hammock itself is very large and I have plenty of room. also as i mentioned previously they have diffrent add ons like over covers under covers, pads, rainfly’s, snake skins (hammock bag so to speak), larger tree huggers (hennesy s suspension system very small so it can only fit around smaller trees) longer tree huggers, and a lot of others. but the zippers on the side opening models can come off and are a pain to get on so be carful otherwise I have not had any issues with mine.
