Grand Trunk Ultralight hammock review

wow its been awhile since I have been on here. well Ill get Straight down to it. Grand Trunk Ultralight hammock.

What its got going for it
  • As the name suggests, it is very light. 12 ounces to be exact (which is a little under a pound)
  • Its affordable. I think on amazon they are selling for somewhere between $20-$30.
  • Personally I liked the feel of the fabric if that counts.

Cons-
-The hooks and ropes. Personally I would much rather have carabiners than hooks because then there is no way my hammock can come undone. also ropes are bad for the trees and not large enough to fit around a lot of trees.
-Its fragile, Think of the math. (you are trying to hold up 4000 ounces with 12 ounces) I used to own one of these myself, and it split straight down the middle because my friend was swinging around in it. it lasted around 2 years and was actually my first hammock.

How it compares?-
-To the ENO?-
Quality and durability wise Eno Destroys this hammock.

weight? the Single nest is 5 ounces heavier. (not much difference unless your a hardcore backpacker)

Bottom line-
My experiences with this hammock were generally good.
you honestly get what you pay  for and I paid $20, and it lasted me 2 years. so basically $10 a year. (I would take that any day)

If you got the money id invest in a higher quality hammock ,but if you don't this one is perfectly fine, but keep in mind it will wear so take good care of it and it may last you more than the 2 years i got out of it. cheers! thanks for reading! (if you got this far) I hope this helped.
